Lewis managed to covert his pole position into a win without much difficulty. The day belonged to Vettel however, who managed to turn his race around from slipping to 18th and managing to finish 4th. Force India also were stars of the show in Canada fighting hard with Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull. Lance Stroll finally finished in the points and on his home soil!

Lewis was back to his usual happy self after winning the Canadian Grand Prix. Hamilton was rarely shown on the television coverage as all the drama unfolded behind him.
Kvyat’s car did not start when the drivers pulled off for their formation lap this was a sign of things to come for the Russian. The start was extremely chaotic Vettel and Hamilton appeared to both make a good start then from nowhere Verstappen managed to zig-zag through the front runners and end up in second place. The drama continued as Sainz spun off taking Massa with him. Vettel picked up front wing damage and had to pit leaving him in last place at 18th.
Force India had a fantastic race they were pushing for podium positions throughout the race unfortunately for them it was not to be. Force India have shown that they can be very competitive and their drivers have definitely shown how skilled they both are.
Max and Daniil both had disaster races. Max had a phenomenal start hopping from 5th to 2nd but soon after on lap 11 his engine cut out and his race was over. It was horrible to see as all his hard work was shattered. Kvyat’s car did not take off for the formation lap. He then picked up a penalty for re-claiming his place at 11th for the start during the formation lap. Doing this is not allowed and he was given a drive through penalty. It was later announced that the penalty given was incorrect and Kvyat would then also have to incur a 10 second penalty on his next pit stop. Kvyat’s race ended in a DNF (did not finish).
